A story of success
More and more people are enjoying the taste of Saint Brendan‘s Superior Irish Cream Liqueur. Unlike most other cream liqueurs, Saint Brendan‘s Superior is made with an aged Irish whiskey. Together with fresh natural cream, artificial additives do not destroy its purity. Saint Brendan‘s is undoubtedly the superior cream liqueur, which has gained the great success all over the world.
No other cream liqueur has witnessed the same recent growth in sales. In 1993 the company was presented with the top industry prize in the United Kingdom – the prestigious Queen‘s Award for Export Achievement.
Winning customers over to the taste of Saint Brendan‘s Superior is becoming commonplace. Independent taste trials have shown that people prefer Saint Brendan‘s Superior to other cream liqueurs. This confirms the belief that Saint Brendan‘s Superior is the best cream liqueur available and underlines why Saint Brendan‘s Superior is a story of success.
There are no substitutes, no artificial flavours or colourings in the liqueur. Instead of using preservatives the company uses modern production techniques to ensure that Saint Brendan‘s possesses the longest possible shelf life. Moreover, the whiskey from which it is made, is distilled three times giving Saint Brendan‘s a superior taste over all other brands.
We‘ve said Saint Brendan‘s tastes great, and the judges at the World Beverage Competition, the world‘s largest beverage competition, have confirmed. Saint Brendan‘s Irish Cream Liqueur received a Gold Award for meeting the highest standards of taste, quality, packaging and trade dress.

Angove's named winery of the year
South Australian Winery, Angove’s, celebrating 120th anniversary this year, has been named the Winery of The Year by respected wine commentator Peter Forrestal in the latest edition of his annual wine guide – QUAFF 2008.
In announcing the award Peter commented “Angove's is the deserved winner of our Winery of the Year Award although they faced tough competition from Yalumba and last year's winner, De Bortoli. The improvements at Angove's were evident last year but the quality of the wines has continued to get better and their performance over the past twelve months has been exemplary. From 25 wines submitted, 20 have been featured in Quaff 2008: nine of those have rated as Bloody Good and five as Good. It's been great to see the lift in quality with both the table wines and fortifieds.”
Also included in the top rating wines were two wines in the Top 20 under $15, 2006 Angove's 'Nine Vines' Viognier and 2006 Angove's 'Long Row' Cabernet Sauvignon – no other wine company had more. The 2006 Long Row cabernet also collected the "Best Red Under $10", whilst the 2006 Long Row Chardonnay collected the award for Best White Under $10, capping off a stellar result for this relatively new Angove's range.
John Angove, Managing Director and the 4th generation Angove to run the company was understandably proud with this achievement. “All facets of the company are working well together – from the massive investment in Vineyard and Winery infrastructure that has helped to boost the quality of the wines, through to production, sales and marketing, our entire team is working with a common purpose to improve the quality and profile of all Angove’s wines. We have 120 years of heritage behind us and are now forging forward - hopefully for the next 120 years and 5 more generations of family ownership!”
Angove’s is the 10th largest winery and the 6th largest exporter of branded wine in Australia with sales in over 30 different countries. Established in 1886 by Dr William Thomas Angove, the company now produces in excess of 1.5 million cases of wine but has retained the ability to craft premium quality wine using the time honoured traditional methods of their forebears perfectly interwoven with the most modern winemaking technology.
Other awards of the wines sold in Lithuania:

2006 Long Row Cabernet Sauvignon - Best Red Wine Under $10
2006 Long Row Chardonnay - Best White Wine Under $10

News from the West Coast of South Africa
Seasons are changing and so do AMKA’s assortment. The autumn is approaching, so we are very happy to bring you a glimmer of the sun from the wonderful Cape region in South Africa. Cape is being titled as one of the most beautiful places on earth, and AMKA brings you no less beautiful wines from Darling Cellars.
This time our assortment has been complemented with its even 3 ranges: Flamingo Bay, DC and Onyx.
Flamingo Bay is a blended range. The best characteristics of each varietal compliment each other for a balanced pleasurable experience. These wines are clean and fresh fruit driven, with a light palate for everyday easy enjoyment.
The DC range of wines represents the vineyard production from around the hamlet of Darling and the surrounding Darling hills. The essence of cool climate grape production is captured and bottled under the DC label. Pure varietal character is carefully nurtured in the bottle, producing wines of finesse, elegance, wonderful fruit driven flavours and generous length.
Onyx, a semi precious gemstone representing the dark granite bedrock that is so prevalent in these single vineyards. This without doubt, is Darling Cellars’ most treasured pride and joy. Only the very best of the selected parcels which produce wines of great depth and complexity are bottled under the Onyx label.
We invite you to try the wine yourself!
